FMC-HYD-204 Centrifugal pump

The Ace FMC-HYD-204 combines high-volume centrifugal-pump performance with an efficient, low-flow hydraulic motor. It is designed for professional agricultural spraying systems that need substantially more flow and agitation than a small diaphragm, roller or compact centrifugal pump can provide.

The pump produces up to 85 GPM and has a maximum pressure rating of 100 PSI. Its high flow capacity supports boom spraying, broadcast application, tank agitation and compatible liquid-transfer operations.

The 204 hydraulic motor requires a maximum hydraulic input of 4 GPM. Ace recommends this motor for pressure-compensating closed-center hydraulic systems and open-center systems producing up to 13 GPM when the motor’s internal needle valve is properly adjusted to bypass excess hydraulic oil.

The FMC-HYD-204 features a durable cast-iron wet end, stainless-steel shaft and wear ring, and a chemical-resistant thermoplastic impeller. A standard carbon/ceramic mechanical seal with Viton elastomers provides compatibility with many commonly used agricultural products. An optional silicon-carbide seal and optional cast-iron impeller are available for applications requiring different wear or temperature characteristics.

Hydraulic-System Compatibility

The FMC-HYD-204 is recommended for:

• Pressure-compensating closed-center hydraulic systems
• Open-center hydraulic systems producing up to 13 GPM, using the integral needle valve to bypass excess hydraulic flow

The motor uses up to 4 GPM to power the pump. Its internal needle valve can bypass approximately 9 GPM of excess hydraulic oil, allowing use on compatible open-center systems producing a total of up to 13 GPM. 

For load-sensing closed-center systems or tractors with different flow characteristics, another Ace motor configuration—such as the 206—may be more appropriate. Always identify the tractor’s hydraulic-system type before selecting the pump.

Important: Do not select a hydraulic pump based only on the tractor’s rated hydraulic flow. System type, available pressure, return-line restrictions and the intended pump performance must also be considered.
